The 'Alphabets of Poetry – Latin and Cyrillic' project connects the Cyrillic and Latin alphabets. In July 2019 a series of fiction-related creative workshops and activities will take place in Plovdiv with the participation of Polish and Bulgarian artists. There will be also street art – in urban environments artists will be painting graffiti based on the Polish and Bulgarian alphabets and featuring poetic texts.
An anthology will be published featuring works by Plovdiv and Lodz writers who will be arrive to take part in literary meetups and discussions (on 13 July 2019 at 10 Hristo Dyukmedzhiev Str at 5.30pm). Among the participants are Krum Krumov, Kacper Bartczak, Tomasz Bąk, Marek Czuku, Piotr Gajda, Rafał Gawin, Piotr Grobliński, Jerzy Jarniewicz, Zdzisław Jaskuła, Izabela Kawczyńska, Krzysztof Kleszcz, Monika Mosiewicz, Michał Murowaniecki, Przemysław Owczarek, Kacper Płusa, Maciej Robert, Robert Rutkowski, Andrzej Strąk, Łukasz Kazimierczak, Marcin Bałczewski and Marta Motyl.
The book will be part of a special exhibition in Plovdiv which will intertwine the Bulgarian variant of the Cyrillic alphabet and the Polish alphabet. The exhibition will be staged in both Lodz and Plovdiv.
The 'Alphabets of Poetry' project is a production of the Lodz House of Literature.
