Forum 2019: Focus Building Audiences
Practical one-day workshop for building audiences within the European Capital of Culture project, together with British Council Bulgaria and Plovdiv 2019, delivered by Arts Marketing Association, London.
This one-day workshop will consider audience development from a strategic and operational perspective. You will think about how to achieve your organisation’s audience development goals, starting with understanding your current and potential audiences. You will be inspired by case studies to develop creative responses to your own challenges. Working language of the meeting will be English.

13.30 – 14.00 Understanding potential audiences
Who are they? Why aren’t they engaging? Delegate exercise thinking about their own potential audiences
14.00 – 15.45 How do we overcome barriers to attendance?
Share a range of strategic tools to make decisions about who to reach and how to do it; Demonstrate these with case studies
15.45 – 16.30 Delegate exercise
Delegates work together using a fictional case study to think about ways they could engage audiences
16.30 – 17.00 Final comments and close
